Returns & Refunds

At Discount Tools NZ, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please read our returns and refund conditions below.

30-Day Returns

We offer a 30-day return period for eligible change-of-mind purchases. If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, we are unable to offer a change-of-mind return or exchange.

To be eligible for a change-of-mind return:

• The item must be unused and in the same condition in which it was received.
• The item must be in its original packaging with all accessories, manuals and supplied components.
• Proof of purchase is required.

Change-of-Mind Returns

Approved change-of-mind returns are subject to a 10% administration/restocking fee. This helps cover the original freight, order processing, handling and costs associated with receiving and inspecting the returned product.

The customer is responsible for the cost of returning change-of-mind items to Discount Tools NZ.

Items That Cannot Be Returned for Change of Mind

Change-of-mind returns are not available for:

• Clearance items.
• Diagnostic tools that have been used, activated or registered with the manufacturer.
• Products that are not in their original condition or are missing packaging, accessories or components.

Diagnostic tools may be returned under our change-of-mind policy only if they are unused and have not been activated or registered with the manufacturer.

These exclusions do not limit any rights or remedies you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act where applicable.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives faulty or damaged, or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible at sales@discounttoolsnz.co.nz.

We will assess the issue and arrange the appropriate remedy in accordance with our obligations under New Zealand consumer law.

Where a return is required because an item is faulty on arrival or we have supplied the incorrect item, Discount Tools NZ will cover the reasonable return shipping cost. We may provide you with a prepaid courier label to attach to the return.

Please do not return products directly to the manufacturer unless we specifically instruct you to do so.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method. The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

Shipping costs associated with a change-of-mind purchase are not refundable, except where required by law.

Exchanges

If you need to exchange an eligible item, please contact us first at sales@discounttoolsnz.co.nz so we can confirm the return and availability of the replacement product.

New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Where the Consumer Guarantees Act applies, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy where goods fail to meet the guarantees provided by law.
