Shipping Policy

All of our products are stocked and shipped from New Zealand.

Discount Tools NZ Ltd is a New Zealand business based on the Kāpiti Coast. We do not ship orders from overseas warehouses.

Click & Collect is available from our Paraparaumu store.

New Zealand Shipping

Order Processing

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1–2 business days. Orders are not normally dispatched on weekends or public holidays.

If an item is temporarily out of stock, dispatch may be delayed while we replenish our inventory. If this affects your order, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Standard NZ Shipping

Standard delivery within New Zealand is generally 1–2 working days after dispatch, depending on your location and the courier network.

FREE standard shipping is available on eligible orders over $129.

Free shipping applies to eligible items weighing up to 12.5 kg and to non-rural delivery addresses.

Rural delivery surcharges apply.

Orders valued under $250 are generally sent using a non-signature service. If you require signature delivery, please contact us or leave a note at checkout. Additional charges may apply.

Heavy & Bulky Items

Free shipping does not apply to heavy or bulky products such as floor jacks, toolboxes, tyre changers, workshop equipment or any item weighing more than 12.5 kg.

Freight charges for heavy or bulky products will be calculated separately where required.

If you are purchasing a heavy or bulky item, please contact us if you would like a freight quote before placing your order.

Due to the cost and limitations associated with transporting very heavy items, we are unable to offer standard freight for items over 25 kg to rural delivery addresses. Please contact us to discuss available delivery options.

Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking information.

Tracking information may take a short time to become active after your order has been collected by the carrier.

Damaged Deliveries

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you and, where appropriate, lodge a claim with the carrier.

Please retain the product, packaging and any shipping labels while we investigate the issue. Photos of the damaged product and packaging may be requested.

Shipping to Australia

Discount Tools NZ offers FREE shipping to Australia on eligible orders over $249 AUD.

International orders are generally shipped using NZ Post and Australia Post, with estimated delivery of approximately 5–10 working days after dispatch.

Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by customs processing, carrier delays, public holidays or other circumstances outside our control.

Free shipping to Australia applies to eligible items weighing up to 15 kg.

Free shipping does not apply to heavy or bulky products such as floor jacks, toolboxes, tyre changers, workshop equipment or items weighing more than 15 kg.

Please contact us for a freight quote if you wish to purchase a heavy or bulky item for delivery to Australia.

Batteries & Restricted Items

We are unable to ship standalone batteries internationally where they are restricted by air-freight regulations. This includes products such as jump starters and power-tool batteries where applicable.

If you are unsure whether a product can be shipped internationally, please contact us before ordering.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, fees or other charges imposed by the destination country.

These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping charge unless specifically stated otherwise.

Discount Tools NZ Ltd is not responsible for customs charges or taxes imposed during or after shipment.
