AUTOOL OBD2 Breakout Box Automotive OBDII

AUTOOL OBD2 Breakout Box

The AUTOOL OBD2 Breakout Box gives direct access to the individual circuits at a vehicle's 16-pin diagnostic connector. It makes it simple to check power, grounds and communication lines during OBD-II and vehicle network diagnosis without repeatedly probing the vehicle's connector.

Who It Suits

Technicians and auto electricians who test OBD circuits with a multimeter or oscilloscope, and tuners who want to monitor signals at the diagnostic port.

Key Features

• 16-pin layout mirrors the OBDII connector so every pin is easy to find
• 4mm banana jacks connect to any standard multimeter or oscilloscope lead
• Check power and grounds – pin 16 for power, pins 4 and 5 for body and signal ground
• Measure communication lines – pins 2, 6, 7, 10, 14 and 15 for K-line, L-line, CAN bus and PWM protocol lines, including some diesel signals
• Use with a scan tool to confirm communication, power and ground at the OBD port
• Memory saver use – connect an additional power source to help preserve vehicle data during a battery change
• Male and female connectors with a 35-inch extension cable in flexible, high-strength TPU

Safety Notes

• Do not place a jumper between power pin 16 and ground pins 4 and 5
• Do not use it to power load devices exceeding 1 amp
• Do not jumper pins together without understanding the circuits
